About me
I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1985. In 2009, I graduated as an electrical engineer from the Department of Computer Science and Informatics at the University of Sarajevo, where I also founded a Local Committee of the Electrical Engineering Students’ European Association. After graduation, I spent two years in the software development industry.
In 2011, I moved to the Netherlands to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science. During this time, I published several scientific papers, including one nominated for a best paper award, and secured two Green Mind Award grants to make University of Groningen buildings more energy-efficient. I also received several start-up honors, including the Pioneers Community Award in 2015.
As a co-founder and CEO of Sustainable Buildings BV, I focused on creating software system that makes buildings smarter and more energy-efficient. In 2019, I was recognized by the Dutch Financial Times as one of the top 50 young entrepreneurial talents under 35 shaping innovation in the Netherlands.
In 2020, I returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina, got married to a wonderful Bosnian wife, and currently work as a Senior Client Executive at Authority Partners Inc.
